A caravan park in a rural North Yorkshire
A simple caravan site with no children, grass and hard standing near a quiet lake, with wildlife all around on the water and the Yorkshire Wolds close by.
Brooklands is a family-run Certificated Location. You get space, privacy and quiet that a large commercial park simply cannot offer, with Scarborough, Whitby and Dalby Forest all an easy drive away.
Only five pitches
You will never be one van among hundreds, in any season.
Adults only
No children, no entertainment. Quiet is the whole point.
Level, with electric
16amp hook-up and level standing on every pitch.
Dogs welcome
Open countryside to walk in, straight from your pitch.
Hardstanding or Grass
Every pitch looks out over the lake, the orchard or open Yorkshire farmland. Tell us your outfit size when you enquire and we will make sure the pitch suits.

As a Certificated Location, touring pitches can only be booked by Caravan and Motorhome Club members. Our apartments and fishing day tickets are open to everyone.

Stayed for 3 nights in our motorhome. We loved it here. It is very quiet and peaceful with lots of wildlife around. There are only a few pitches which give you lots of privacy. The pitches are level hardstanding or grass with electric.

A well-stocked lake, yards from your pitch
Our coarse lake sits at the heart of the site, stocked with carp, tench, bream, rudd and roach. Thirteen pegs, level access, and the car park right beside the water.

Perfectly placed for the coast and the Moors
Brompton-by-Sawdon sits just off the A170, halfway between Scarborough and Pickering. You can be on the beach in twenty minutes or deep in forest in fifteen.

Filey, Thornton-le-Dale and the Forge Valley nature reserve are all a short drive away, and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs steam trains from Pickering. Footpaths lead into open countryside straight from the village, and Brompton has a butcher our guests keep telling us about.
Two self-catering cottage apartments
If you would rather have four walls and a kitchen, we also have two self-contained apartments in the farmhouse at the edge of the lake. The same quiet, the same views, no Club membership needed.

Brompton-by-Sawdon sits on the A170 between Scarborough and Pickering. Turn off in the village onto Ings Lane and follow it south. Sat nav postcode YO13 9DS but that takes you to multiple farms. IGNORE this and head towards the bridge over the river. Ings Lane is narrow in places, so take it steadily with a large outfit.
